Role of Research on the Agenda at PTC'08
A special roundtable session to discuss the role of research in PTC is being organized for PTC'08. With many members and interests that revolve around the value of research and with many views on the types of research that are seen as valuable, the roundtable is a timely addition to the program that will help to coalesce ideas that move PTC into a better position to meet its objectives.
The manner in which more traditional academic research agendas can be brought together with practical industry research needs will be discussed. The roundtable may also look to better ways for member engagement and to encourage submission and inclusion of quality research papers and products into the annual conference and mid-year seminar. An additional area to explore may include appropriate vehicles, possibly in coordination with other organizations, for further dissemination of member research.
Research Roundtable Wednesday, 16 January 2008, 10:15-11:15
