2008 PTC Mid-Year Seminar

PTC is pleased to announce the 2008 Mid-Year Seminar presented in cooperation with CommunicAsia 2008. The one-day event will take place at the Swissotel The Stamford in the heart of Singapore at the Raffles City Convention Centre on Thursday, 19 June.

The seminar will be modeled on our annual conference in effect a mini-PTC at CommunicAsia bringing together a diversity of interests in the broad telecommunications and ICT industries. Topics will focus on areas that are strengths of PTC and do not overlap with CommunicAsia. These topics may include but are not limited to areas such as the wholesale carrier business, undersea cables, policy and regulation, development of civil society, essential and emergency services, and meeting the needs of the underserved. The event will include a luncheon for registered participants and an evening reception.

The June meeting of the PTC Board of Governors is also planned during this time and will be hosted in the offices of Pacnet in Singapore courtesy of PTC Treasurer, Bill Barney, CEO of Pacnet.

A program steering committee is being formed and will solicit speakers shortly. Proposals for senior-level speakers and sponsorships are welcome.
