Board of Governors approves a limited annual membership dues increase:  Not all categories affected and members can save through early payment.

It has been nearly 15 years since there has been an increase in the annual dues for PTC membership.   The Board of Governors has been considering this issue for some time and as part of the current year’s plan for a balanced budget, has approved a modest annual dues increase to help adjust for the costs of operating PTC.  In approving the increase, the Board is very mindful of the need to effectively and responsibly budget for the needed functions of PTC while maintaining cost controls and implementing changes for more efficient operations. Consideration for the increase included consultation with the Advisory Council leadership and member and PTC-J feedback on draft proposals over the past several years.  In particular, the cost of dues for our lowest priced membership categories remains unchanged.

Effective for the 2007/8-membership year, annual dues are:

Category 07/08 Prior
Individual* $150 $150
FP0* $250 $250
FP1 $500 $450
FP2 $1000 $900
FP3                             $2000 $1800
FP4                             $4500 $3600
NP0*                            $250 $250
NP1                             $500 $450
NP2                             $750 $675
Affiliate*                                   $250 $250
ST1(student – dev)*   $25 $25
ST2(student – other)* $65 $65

* No change in these categories.

Now the good news…You can still beat the membership dues increase!
Mindful that some may have already budgeted for next year’s dues at the prior level, we are pleased to extend a one-time offer to all members to pay their dues for the 07/08 membership year at the prior level if paid by Dec 31, 2006.

Invoices for dues will be sent mid-November with a note of explanation and the offer to pay at the prior level to avoid the increase for the coming year.  Dues paid between Jan 1, 2007 and Jan 31, 2007 will be allowed a 5% discount off the new rates for the categories with dues increases.  From Feb 1, 2007 onward, all dues payments are subject to the new rates.
