SRINATH NARASIMHAN

SRINATH NARASIMHAN is the Executive Director for VSNL in India and on the Board of VSNL International. His eclectic experience derived over 20 years within the Tata Group, which he joined in 1986 and focused on projects in new age technology areas like process automation and control, computers and telecommunications.

Mr. Narasimhan served as the GM-Projects at Tata Teleservices, became COO and eventually the CEO of Tata Internet Services . Today, as Executive Director of VSNL, he is actively involved in transforming VSNL into a global telecom company operating in over 30 countries, diversifying into several new areas through major international and domestic acquisitions .

He was the Telecom Asia, 2006 'Telecom CEO of the Year', which recognized Mr. Narasimhan's pioneering role in transforming VSNL from a domestic monopoly into a major global telecom.

Mr. Narasimhan holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the IIT (Madras) and a management degree from the IIM (Calcutta) specializing in marketing and systems.
