Satellite Strikes Back in the Asia Pacific
Organized by the Asia Pacific Satellite Communications Council (APSCC).
A new optimism has taken hold in the satellite industry in Asia. High power satellite capacity is in overdrive serving strong demand for DTH services in China and India. The advent of HDTV broadcasting via satellite, new mobile TV and content-on-demand services and other applications are similarly stimulating opportunities for a new generation of satellite services. In this panel, executives from the Asian satellite industry will discuss the market horizon, open sky policy, regulatory tensions tied to WiMax and C-band regulation, and other key issues.
