Satellite Applications that will Open Asia-Pacific Markets
Organized by the World Teleport Association (WTA).
Sponsored by

Satellite often struggles for acceptance beyond traditional broadcast distribution and contribution. Fixed and wireless network operators are concerned about satellite’s reliability and integration with core systems; enterprises view it as a high-cost, low-performance option of last resort; and governments typically resist satellite services for all but the most specialized applications. Thanks to technology innovation and improved price-performance, however, satellite is generating new growth in supposedly saturated markets and meeting emerging needs in others. This panel provides case studies of real-world applications for new Asia-Pacific satellite services, from IPTV to digital signage and cinema, to mobile telephony and ubiquitous next-generation networks, and more.
