    A challenge allowing participants to work together to troubleshoot the industry talent crisis by discussing and workshopping the talent landscape, talent trends and needs, types of talent surpluses and deficits, and development of future talent.

At the completion of this course, participants will understand:

  • The complete network ecosystem of subsea and satellite telecommunications, and how they will interoperate in the future to bring broadband to the world
  • The basic components of digital infrastructure, including data centers, interconnection, and edge services, and the role these components play within the data center ecosystem, as well as the trends impacting the evolution of services
  • Key aspects of blockchain technology and distributed ledger technology (DLT), and the benefits and challenges associated with use of DLT
  • Business models and revenue drivers in key industry segments
  • How digital natives are operating, the convergence of sectors and data models, and how this may impact telecom operators and their response
  • Corporate culture at the interface of theory and practice
  • Actionable insight into the specific levers that can be used to improve corporate culture
  • Key sustainability factors; holistic sustainability framework; importance of sustainability in decision-making; and assets such as climate emission mitigation, climate adaptation, and biodiversity conservation
  • Tips for making the transition from mid-level to C-suite
  • Thinking like a top executive about revenue, competition, customer demand changes, cost, innovation challenges, and social responsibilities
  • The current state of talent in the industry and the upcoming challenges the industry faces as leaders retire faster than talent is funneling in

  • Mid-career professionals with five to 10 years’ experience in one or more functional areas at communications service provider firms, data center or collocation firms, infrastructure supplier firms, application providers, device suppliers, construction or maintenance firms, regulatory bodies, industry-related consulting firms, or other firms allied to the field.
  • Anyone who has not yet had general responsibilities for profit and loss at their firms.
  • Anyone who wants to learn more about the industry’s history and how business strategies have changed, especially outside of their areas of domain knowledge.
