PTC: What technology breakthrough would pave the way for the ICT industry?

RD: A major breakthrough in integrated power orchestrationโ€”combining advanced controls, AI-based optimization, and fuel-flexible energy systemsโ€”would redefine whatโ€™s possible for the ICT industry. As generative AI, real-time applications, and global data demands scale rapidly, the infrastructure behind them must keep up. ElectriGen believes the next leap comes from resilient power systems that autonomously balance across renewable, transitional, ensuring always-on availability. This type of innovation supports 99.999% uptime and enables telecom and digital infrastructure providers to scale without compromise. A solution that seamlessly adapts to grid instability, regional fuel access, or energy price volatility would accelerate the deployment of high-performance computing globallyโ€”especially in underserved or off-grid areas.

PTC: How can telecommunications technologies help humanity?

RD: Telecommunications technology is one of the greatest enablers of human progressโ€”amplifying access to knowledge, economic mobility, and emergency resilience. But to truly fulfill that promise, the infrastructure that supports telecom must be both reliable and inclusive. At ElectriGen, weโ€™re focused on the power behind the signal: ensuring that connectivity is available even in extreme environments or developing regions. By delivering turnkey, clean energy solutions to support critical telecom infrastructure, we help keep people connected during disasters, accelerate education in remote areas, and support the AI-driven tools that will transform healthcare, logistics, and climate resilience. Power and connectivity together can break down long-standing barriersโ€”one reliable connection at a time.

PTC: Is it important for companies to continue to innovate their organization or offerings, and why?

RD: Innovation is not optionalโ€”itโ€™s the engine of resilience. In fast-moving sectors like telecom and digital infrastructure, the pace of change is accelerating with each new wave of technology, from edge computing to AI. ElectriGen is committed to continuous innovation, not just in technology but also in delivery models, partnerships, and sustainability. Our power-as-a-service offering allows clients to scale without the burden of capital-intensive infrastructure, while our flexible fuel model ensures reliable operations even in resource-constrained environments. We also pursue innovations in smart controls, fuel-flexible systems, and predictive maintenance to stay ahead of client needs. In a world where uptime is currency, innovation is how we stay indispensable.

PTC: What value does PTC hold for you/your company?

RD: PTC offers ElectriGen a rare opportunity to engage with the global telecom and infrastructure community in meaningful, cross-sector conversations. As a new member, weโ€™ve already benefited from visibility into upcoming industry challenges and trendsโ€”particularly around data center growth, sustainable infrastructure, and 5G/AI integration. PTC provides a platform where power solutions are no longer in the background, but part of the strategic dialogue around scalability, resilience, and ESG compliance. Itโ€™s a place where infrastructure meets innovation, and where companies like ours can forge partnerships that lead to smarter, cleaner, and more connected systems. The value PTC delivers extends far beyond networkingโ€”it shapes how we anticipate and build for the future.

PTC: What would you share with those interested in becoming a PTC member?

RD: Joining PTC is a strategic move for any company looking to engage with the future of telecommunications, infrastructure, and global connectivity. PTC gives members more than a seat at the tableโ€”it offers a community committed to solving big, real-world problems. For ElectriGen, the access to forward-thinking conversations around digital infrastructure, energy transformation, and regional expansion has already been a force multiplier. If your organization is looking to lead, partner, or simply understand where the ICT industry is headed, thereโ€™s no better forum than PTC to start building that future together.

PTC: What advice would you share with current and future graduates interested in this field?

RD: Follow the powerโ€”literally. As digital and telecommunications networks grow more sophisticated, the need for clean, intelligent, and reliable power systems is growing just as fast. The future of this field lies at the intersection of energy, AI, infrastructure, and connectivity. To graduates: explore how your skillsโ€”whether in engineering, finance, data science, or policyโ€”can contribute to this transformation. Companies like ElectriGen are redefining how infrastructure is delivered, and we need minds that are agile, systems-oriented, and purpose-driven. Donโ€™t be afraid to step into industries that are convergingโ€”youโ€™ll find more opportunities, impact, and innovation than you imagined.

PTC: What industry mogul or up-and-coming leader have you followed or are currently pursuing, and why?

RD: One industry leader we follow closely is Dan McGrath, President of PowerSecure. His work at the intersection of distributed energy, microgrids, and resilient infrastructure strongly aligns with ElectriGenโ€™s mission. Under his leadership, PowerSecure has advanced how critical infrastructureโ€”like data centers and industrial facilitiesโ€”manage power through innovative, fuel-flexible systems and advanced energy controls. His approach to delivering turnkey energy resiliency mirrors our own: combining engineering rigor with real-world adaptability. McGrathโ€™s commitment to reliability, sustainability, and client-centered design provides a valuable blueprint for how companies like ElectriGen can scale impact in both the digital infrastructure and oil and gas sectors. Leaders like him are helping redefine how energy infrastructure enablesโ€”not limitsโ€”innovation.

PTC: What has been a positive outcome organizationally or individually given the current state of the world?

RD: One of the most positive outcomes for ElectriGen has been the global awakening around infrastructure resilience and sustainability. Challenges such as grid instability, geopolitical fuel risk, and growing demand from AI applications have pushed organizations to reimagine how they power critical operations. For us, this created space to innovate and expand fasterโ€”through our flexible fuel strategy, turnkey deployments, and partnerships focused on transitional and alternative fuels. It has also helped elevate the importance of power in the telecom conversation, allowing us to shape new narratives around energy as a service. Internally, our team has grown more mission-driven than ever, galvanized by the urgency and opportunity to help build infrastructure thatโ€™s not just reliable, but regenerative.

ElectriGen is a power-as-a-service provider focused on delivering affordable, reliable, clean power to the digital infrastructure and energy markets. We utilize the latest in innovative controls and fuel flexibility to ensure ElectriGen supports 99.999% uptime for our clients. Our clients are paving the path to the 5th industrial revolution with advancements in generative AI. We also provide turnkey solutions when fuel isnโ€™t readily available for our clients using our strategic partnerships with fuel providers, including hydrogen.
