The APNIC Foundation’s Building Capabilities in the Asia Pacific (BCAP) project has won the 2026 WSIS Prize in the Capacity Building category, following a public voting phase and global review process. Presented by the International Telecommunication Union, the award recognises BCAP as a leading initiative strengthening the technical skills of the people who build, operate and secure the region’s Internet and digital infrastructure. The recognition reflects the collective work of BCAP participants, alumni, partners and the Foundation team, and reinforces the value of investing in the human expertise that keeps the region securely connected.
