The Yale M. Braunstein Student Prize Award for the best student paper is named in honor of Yale M. Braunstein, a long-time PTC member and contributor to PTC’s Research Committee. The award for 2018 goes to Jenna Grzeslo, a doctoral student from Pennsylvania State University (USA).

Her paper titled Building Communities, Bridging Divides: Community Technology Centers and Social Capital explores the use of community technology centers (CTCs) by adults in the U.S. using a unique measure of social capital generated at CTCs through data collected from the Amazon Mechanical Turk and a Qualtrics Survey Panel.

Jenna will be presenting her paper on Tuesday, 23 January 2018 in Young Scholar 2 session: Developing Mobile Broadband Policy to Support Competition, which will be held from 14.00–15.15 in Nautilus 1.
