Marketing and Communications Director
PTC welcomes Nicole Fuertes, as its marketing and communications director. She brings with her more than 15 years of public relations and marketing experience to the organization.
Previously, she was vice president at Hawaii’s leading integrated communications and marketing agency. Her leadership and counsel have brought success to a wide range of clients in a multitude of industries.
Specializing in marketing, media relations, crisis and issues management, special events and promotions, Fuertes has a knack for creating new business opportunities and partnerships – not hesitating to challenge conventional thinking.
Formerly, she served as assistant program coordinator and information specialist at the Hawaii National Guard Youth Challenge Academy, a program for at-risk teens. In addition to recruitment, she was responsible for increasing awareness of the program in Hawaii while securing partnerships and grant assistance. Prior, she worked for McNeil Wilson Communications in the travel and tourism division.
Her work has won several Koa Anvil Awards from the Public Relations Society of America’s Hawaii chapter. She currently serves as a key spouse volunteer for the Hawaii Air National Guard 154thCivil Engineering Unit and sits on the board of directors of the Nanala at Mehana community association. Additionally, she served as a member of the Father Damien Canonization Committee.
Born and raised in Hawaii, Nicole is a graduate of Boston University where she received a degree in communications with an emphasis in public relations.
