Each year, PTC is fortunate to have interns from Ngee Ann Polytechnic in Singapore. This 28-year relationship has brought more than 60 students from Singapore to Hawaii annually, to learn more about the ICT industry and grow their skills with hands-on experience at PTC’s Annual Conference. Students arrive approximately four months prior to the conference and have the opportunity to develop lifelong relationships within the industry. PTC interns gain valuable work experience while recognizing the impact the PTC Annual Conference has on the Pacific region. Please join PTC in welcoming interns Ariel, Chesla, and Rachel.

Aloha! I’m Ariel, a final-year mass communication student from Singapore. Spending my internship with Pacific Telecommunications Council (PTC) in Hawaii has been a priceless opportunity, and one I would never trade for anything in the world. I’m sure that the memories made here in Hawaii will be nothing short of amazing.

When I am not taking yet another photo of Hawaii’s breathtaking sunsets or stargazing at the beach, I assist the PTC team with the Young Scholar Program, volunteer recruitment, development of the PTC’20 Mobile App, and fulfill overall conference responsibilities.

I love designing and being creative, and my days are filled with learning new things and developing new skills in preparation for the PTC Annual Conference alongside supportive and capable colleagues.

There is nowhere I’d rather be than here, and I am incredibly excited to continue learning and growing as an individual. I’m looking forward to meeting you at PTC’20!

Aloha! I’m Chesla, a third-year student pursuing a diploma in visual effects from Singapore. I’ve been extremely fortunate for this opportunity to intern at Pacific Telecommunications Council in Hawaii.

Traveling to Honolulu has been nothing short of a dream. My time on this magnificent paradise has been simply breathtaking, with its alluring sights, mouth-watering dishes, and intriguing culture. When I’m not spending time soaking in all the beauty Hawaii has to offer, I’m working alongside the incredible staff at PTC, preparing for the Annual Conference in January 2020. I’m immensely grateful to be part of a supportive team that pushes me to hone my skills and be the best person I can be.
My duties include volunteer recruitment, PTC-TV, sponsorships, and hotel suites and converted rooms for the PTC Annual Conference. I look forward to seeing you at PTC’20!
